What is BETA?

The National BETA Club is a nonprofit organization. It is the largest educational youth organization in America.  For over 80 years, the National BETA Club has helped shape many students to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service, and leadership among elementary and middle schools.

Members of the BETA club at blackwater middle school must set a good example for their peers. Students abide by all the school rules and policies including those regarding the use of drugs, alcohol and tobacco. BETA clubs requires dedication, responsibility, and may require some weekend and after school time.

Students that have exemplary grades and good behavior will be invited to join BETA club. Once inducted, students must maintain those exemplary grades and good behavior, attend all mandatory meetings and complete at least 30 service hours for the school year.
